Description

The Scottish Ministers invite bids for a refit exercise on MRV Scotia to ensure maintenance of our seafaring certification for this vessel.

Total Quantity or Scope

Marine Scotland has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Refit of MRV Scotia. MRV Scotia was built at Ferguson's Shipyard, Port Glasgow and was launched in 1998. She is 68.6 metres in length, draught of 6 metres and has a gross tonnage of 2619. She has a crew of 17, a service speed of 13 knots and is used mainly for fisheries scientific research. The refit of this vessel must be completed by 31 March 2023 at the latest. The contract will be for a 14 day period within 1-31 March 2023 (1 month).
