Description
The aim of this procurement is to award a series of contracts to accommodate the 20 Categories included in the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). These contracts will run for an initial period of 4.5 years, commencing on 1st April 2022 and ending 6th August 2026 and includes an option to extend their terms for a further period of not more than two years.

1 | Category 1 - Asbestos (Disposal only) Category One: Asbestos Disposal only The material to be delivered to your disposal site is Cement bonded asbestos. This material is double bagged by the public in clear bags before being taken to the HRC and subsequently delivered to the disposal site by Ubico. Contract start date 1st April 2022 and ending 6th August 2026 and includes an option to extend their terms for a further period of not more than two years. Award Criteria

5 | Category Five: Cans (Mixed) (Recycling Only) Category Five: Cans (Mixed) - Recycling only The material to be delivered is Post Consumer loose mixed cans (aluminium and steel). Mixed cans will not be further graded or sorted prior to being delivered directly to the reprocessor by Ubico, the HRC contractor. Full and up-to-date information will be provided by the reprocessor on end destinations for the material. Contract start date 1st April 2022 and ending 6th August 2026 and includes an option to extend their terms for a further period of not more than two years. Award Criteria

6 | Category 6 - Automotive Batteries (Collection and Recycling) Category Six: Automotive Batteries Collection and Recycling The material to be collected is Automotive batteries. The frequency of collection will be as requested, either on a scheduled round or within a timescale to be agreed at the time a collection is requested across the 5 HRCs. Full and up-to-date information will be provided by the reprocessor on end destinations for the material. Contract start date 1st April 2022 and ending 6th August 2026 and includes an option to extend their terms for a further period of not more than two years. Award Criteria

7 | Category 7 – Cardboard (Mixed) (Recycling only) Category Seven: Cardboard (Mixed) Recycling only The material to be recycled is Post Consumer mixed grade cardboard, delivered to your facility by Ubico, the HRC contractor. The frequency of collection will be as requested, either on a scheduled round or within a timescale to be agreed at the time a collection is requested across the 5 HRCs. Full and up-to-date information will be provided by the reprocessor on end destinations for the material. 8 | Category 8 – Chemicals and Paint (Collection and Recovery/Disposal) Category Eight: Chemicals and Paint - Collection and Recovery/Disposal The material to be collected is Post-Consumer mixed hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and mixed solvent/non-solvent paints. Where possible, separate post-consumer mixed hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals excluding paint and where possible, separate post-consumer mixed solvent/non-solvent paints. Storage containers used on site are Chemsafe 800 or similar. The frequency of collection required will be within 3 days of requesting a collection across the 5 HRCs. Contract start date 1st April 2022 and ending 6th August 2026 and includes an option to extend their terms for a further period of not more than two years. Award Criteria

9 | Category 9 – Gas Bottles (Collection and Recycling) Category Nine: Gas Bottles - Collection and Recycling The material to be collected is used gas bottles. The frequency of collection required will be either on a scheduled round or within a timescale to be agreed at the time a collection is requested across the 5 HRCs. The frequency of collection will be as required and will not be more than 3 days lead time from receiving the request for collection across the 5 HRCs. The reprocessor will collect the material from the HRCs in accordance with the provision of this contract and provide the necessary containers to facilitate this. The reprocessor will provide full and up-to-date information on end destinations for the material.
