Re: NHS SBS Modular Buildings Framework Reference Number: SBS10091 Lot Name(s) and Number(s) (e.g., Lot 3 Healthcare Buildings for Purchase) (Direct Award) capability assessment confirmations are invited against the above NHS Shared Business Services Framework Agreement for the supply of Modular Buildings to the NHS Shared Business Services Membership and Associate members. Customer background information Background to the requirement The Scheme will provide additional elective care beds on the YDH site. These will allow for the use for long waiting specialties within Somerset and wider area, specifically orthopaedic activity. Within the county, bed capacity is the key constraint followed by elective theatre capacity; this will provide dedicated additional inpatient bed capacity for elective recovery focusing on long waits. Customer Objective Simply Serve Limited (Authority) are a wholly owned subsidiary of Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Authority, via the SBS Framework, wish to engage a supplier for the design, manufacture, supply and installation of a 20-bed ward Modular Building to be constructed on level three (roof) of the existing Acute Hospital building. Level three being the first level above ground level (main entrance). Route to market A modular/offsite solution is the proposed design/construction solution.
