Lot Division
1 | 1D and 2D modelling activities Lot 1 – 1D and 2D modelling activities. The tasks involved for each modelled area could include, but is not limited to: • Importing/entering data on the wastewater network (including sewers, pumping stations, other sewerage assets and treatment works within the study area in accordance with the Project Brief) into INFOWORKS ICM. • Importing/entering data necessary for 2D model functionality. • Identifying required surveys of WW assets (SPSs, CSOs, Bifurcations and other key manholes) as deemed necessary. Reception and indexing of survey results. • Undertaking wastewater network data validation, interpolation, clean up and area take off assessments. • Designing and planning of sewer flow surveys for the purposes of gaining sufficient data to accurately verify system operation and verify each model (flow surveys will be procured separately by the Company). • Identifying and requesting required data for telemetry verification, including radar rainfall and download of telemetry signals. • Attendance at site pre-installation visits and checking of data returned by flow survey contractor; • Use of data gained in the flow survey and/or data from other sources, in particular performance data from the Company’s telemetry system, to verify the model for dry weather and storm periods as per UDG Code of Practice criteria; note - telemetry data will be used to augment conventional flow monitors- smaller models may be verified using only telemetry data and telemetry data may be used for longer term verification). • Following verification to the required standard, producing working models to represent present day and future scenarios. • Maintenance and updating of existing models including: adding new development; targeted reverification; updates from recent surveys. • Producing documentation at various stages of the project as required • Effectively liaising with relevant Wessex Water personnel including the project manager at all stages of the project (liaison meetings may be held at Wessex Water offices or remotely). • Performing DWMP routines including undertaking BRAVAs (Baseline Risk And Vulnerability Assessment), ODAs (Option Development and Appraisal) and adaptive pathways. • Undertaking various studies such as, but not limited to, optioneering, SuDS strategies, Developer Impact Assessment (DIAs), asset performance appraisals. • River quality modelling (generally of intermittent discharges to SOAF type 1 or 2 specification) |
2 | Development of smart working tools and automation of processes Lot 2 – Development of smart working tools and automation of processes, such as: • Development of bespoke smart working tools • Development of new processes • Development of existing and new software to meet Wessex Water requirements • Provision of training and support in how to use these tools and processes. • Provision of tool use guidance documentation |
