Description

The Five Year Forward View for Mental Health set out clear recommendations on suicide prevention and reduction, and made a commitment to reduce suicides by 10% nationally by 2020/21. The contract is for three years with option to extend for a further two years. The contract value given in this notice is for the full five year term.

Total Quantity or Scope

The preventing suicides in England strategy, March 2021 estimates that annually 800,000 people across the world die by suicide, with 5,316 people sadly taking their life in England in 2019.All areas of the country will receive investment in their services, by 2023 to 2024, to further support local suicide prevention plans.
