Description

Support & Recovery and the Breakthrough Service within Adult & Health Services is a service supporting people with mental health issues, substance misuse, trauma, etc. Staff require a high level of training from specialist Consultant Clinical Psychologists. In 2022 - 2023 all of the staff within this service require training in Trauma Focused CBT, therefore 2 courses will be required within this financial year. The course required is delivered by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) which is a UK based training provider who deliver training internationally. The training delivered is a higher level of training than other training providers can offer due to the expertise of the trainers, who are all highly qualified Clinical Psychologists, who have a high level of specialist academic and practical knowledge of the subject. The course content is attached which shows the content and the scope of the training. These outcomes are required by the staff in the service in order that they can achieve the required outcomes for individuals they are supporting whose behaviours and issues are informed by trauma
