Description

Southampton City Council is inviting bids from service providers with relevant experience and ability to deliver a perinatal peer support service programme for male parent carers from pregnancy through the child being 19 years old. The overall aims of the service will encompass the following; • Promoting positive early relationships and perinatal mental health support. • Normalising and de-stigmatising conversations around mental health and parent-infant relationships difficulties that may occur. • Providing emotional and peer support to ensure that male parent carers who may be experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues have a peer support network to turn to. • Ensuring marginalised communities such as the black and minority ethnic community have specific support tailored to their needs. • Working closely with the Family Hub networks, taking referrals for peer support and referring on when other needs emerge. The Council reserves the right to modify the contract, in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Section 72, by utilising the optional extension period subject to securing additional external grant funding via the Family Hubs Start for Life Transformation Programme 2023 - 2025
