Description

The University of Southampton have developed a unique DNA based therapeutic to activate NK cells against cancer. The therapeutic is delivered intramuscularly in combination with DNA encoding the potent immune stimulating cytokine IL-15. The objective is for an Executive to jointly work with the team to bring the opportunity towards and ultimately achieve launch of a new spinout company. The project description is included below: Phase 1 Opportunity Validation and Business Plan Creation - Executive leads all activity; ensures other team members support on relevant technical/ application needs inputs; if requested by Exec, UoS R&IS department will assist defining business plan requirements Phase 2 Research organisation Approval In Principle to Spinout - Executive briefed by UoS R&IS on relevant documentation, and assisted by that team to complete this and submit to first available regular bi-monthly Southampton Enterprise Board meetings; Attendance of networking conferences to accelerate commercialisation process. Phase 3 Achieve "Ready to Spin" status Phase 4 Investor willingness to complete necessary funding round;
