Description

This framework agreement will be for chilled and/or frozen meals including but not limited to standard meals, specialist meals and steam plated meals including ethnic meals, dysphagic meals and specific dietary meals. Precise sales quantities are unknown. Whilst it is anticipated that initial expenditure under any forthcoming procurement will be in the region of £169,000,000 GBP. Procurement of the following categories to be delivered directly into NHS sites: soups, main entrees, main vegetarian & vegan entrees, potatoes and stable starches, vegetables, accompaniments and sauces where applicable, desserts, potassium renal diet meals and allergen meals, breakfast items, individual plated meals for an a la carte meal service, Individual cakes & puddings, Snacking, Mini-Ready Meals, Finger Food, modified texture diets, religious & cultural diets, therapeutic diets e.g. low sodium/reduced potassium renal diet meals and allergen meals, religious/cultural meals, e.g. Halal, Kosher, Afro Caribbean, Eastern European, texture modified meals, e.g. (textures B/C/D and E), therapeutic diet meals, e.g. low sodium/reduced potassium renal diet meals, dysphagic meals and allergen meals, Paediatric Meals, bulk components of the plated meals for use in retail outlets, plated meals for use in retail outlets.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** The contract between NHS Supply Chain: Food and successful suppliers will reserve the right to purchase the same or similar supplies and/or services from suppliers not awarded to the contract at its sole discretion. Whilst it is anticipated that initial expenditure under any forthcoming procurement will be in the region of £169,000,000 GBP The contract will be between NHS Supply Chain: Food and the supplier, however: 1) NHS Supply Chain: Food; 2) Any NHS trust; 3) Any other NHS entity; 4) Any government department, agency or other statutory body; and/or 5) Any private sector entity active in the UK healthcare sector will be able to enter into a direct contract with the supplier for any of the supplies and/or services under the framework. The supplier will be required to report to and pay a direct contract management fee to NHS Supply Chain: Food as detailed in the tender documents. NHS Supply Chain: Food is currently considering the use of lots for this procurement. However, it reserves the right not to as part of any future tender process. Further information in respect of the lot strategy will be set out in the notice for the forthcoming procurement. As part of its pre-tender strategy, NHS Supply Chain: Food would also like to engage with the suppliers of these products via a Request for Information (RFI).
