Description

NHS South East London ICB is seeking expression of interest (EOIs) from capable, qualified and interested providers to provide an all-age wheelchair service which includes local clinics, wheelchair clinical assessment, clinical review, equipment supply, delivery & collection; personal wheelchair budget options; repair and maintenance of NHS wheelchairs; emergency/urgent response. The service provides a stock of Mobility Equipment (and manages the ongoing maintenance of equipment on that List) to support residents in achieving the best possible independence in their day-to-day living. The stock of Mobility Equipment includes postural seating, seating cushions and further flexibility in the client’s preferences for their wheelchair. This is referred to as Personal Wheelchair Budgets-PWBs- or (interchangeably), Personal Health Budgets-PHBs. The total activity, which includes clinical assessment and review, provision of equipment, spare parts, collection and scrapping of equipment, is universally referred to as the “Wheelchair Service”. The contract will be offered for a period of three years 13 months, with an option to extend for an additional 24 months (3 years and 1 month in total) at the Authority’s sole discretion. Contract value for the initial 3 years will be £2,100,000, (Annual contract value £700,000).

Total Quantity or Scope

NHS London Commercial Hub, Hosted by NEL ICB is managing this process on behalf of NHS South East London ICB (The Authority). The LCH is conducting this EoI exercise as agent for and on behalf of the principal(s) (being the Authority) with whom the successful Applicant will ultimately enter contracts for the supply of the Service(s). Interested providers (Applicants) are requested to register their organisation, and express their interest in the EOI via the e-tendering portal (ProContract). All Applicants wishing to participate must complete and submit EOIs. Renewal Options
