Description
The new high speed rail line between London and the West Midlands, known as HS2, has received Parliamentary approval and initial survey works began early in 2017 as part of the preparation for constructing HS2. To facilitate the development of the proposed new line, a number of sites and properties within the ownership of the Council have been identified as being required. Notification of the intention to acquire the various sites and properties by HS2 Ltd has also been received. The Council now wishes to appoint a contractor to enter negotiations, on our behalf, to agree compensation on compulsory purchase terms and conditions. The Council have appointed an organisation to negotiate, on compulsory purchase terms and conditions, the market value of the interests of the various sites and properties held by the Council and any other compensation payments due. Provide an estimate valuation on full CPO terms, of all the Council's interests of the affected land and properties and any other associated compensation claims. Prepare a proposed strategy to include a timeline for individual compensation claims. Produce valuation reports in accordance with the RICS standards for approval.
