Description

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) plays a leading role in the education, training, development and shaping of the healthcare workforce in Wales to ensure the delivery of a high quality of care for the people of Wales. The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. This includes Dental Foundation, Dental Core and Dental Specialty training for Dentists, Dental Foundation for Therapists and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for all dental team members as defined by the General Dental Council (GDC) . The Dental Postgraduate Section of HEIW are seeking to commission speakers to deliver the education and training of Dental Foundation and Core trainees and all dental team members across Wales. The Dental Postgraduate Section are seeking speakers to deliver: Dental Foundation Training; Dental Core Training; Welsh Dental Therapy Foundation Training; Continuing Professional Development; and Performers List Validation by Experience.

1 North Wales (Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board)

The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. For Lot 1 we are seeking to procure the following education: Adhesive Dentistry Complete Dentures Composites Crown and Bridge Dental Photography Dental Treatment planning Effective Emergency Care in GDP Endodontics Occlusion Partial Dentures Periodontics Tooth wear This education will be for the area of North Wales and will be delivered Face-to-Face with Online Elements.

2 Mid Wales (Powys Teaching Health Board)

The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. For Lot 2 we are seeking to procure the following education: Adhesive Dentistry Complete Dentures Composites Crown and Bridge Dental Photography Dental Treatment planning Effective Emergency Care in GDP Endodontics Occlusion Partial Dentures Periodontics Tooth wear This education will be for the area of Mid Wales and will be delivered Face-to-Face with Online Elements.

3 South Wales (Aneurin Bevan; Cardiff & Vale and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board)

The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. For Lot 3 we are seeking to procure the following education: Adhesive Dentistry Complete Dentures Composites Crown and Bridge Dental Photography Dental Treatment planning Effective Emergency Care in GDP Endodontics Occlusion Partial Dentures Periodontics Tooth wear This education will be for the area of South Wales and will be delivered Face-to-Face with Online Elements.

For Lot 4 we are seeking to procure the following education: Adhesive Dentistry Complete Dentures Composites Crown and Bridge Dental Photography Dental Treatment planning Effective Emergency Care in GDP Endodontics Occlusion Partial Dentures Periodontics Tooth wear This education will be for the area of West Wales and will be delivered Face-to-Face with Online Elements.

5 All Wales, delivered via Synchronous Learning

The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. For Lot 5 we are seeking to procure the following education: Adhesive Dentistry Complete Dentures Composites Crown and Bridge Dental Photography Dental Treatment planning Effective Emergency Care in GDP Endodontics Occlusion Partial Dentures Periodontics Tooth wear Autism awareness Communication and dealing with complaints CVs, Personal Marketing and Interview Techniques Deaf awareness and sign language Disability awareness Dyslexia awareness Health and Safety Managing change in the dental profession Managing stress and maintaining performance Mental Health Awareness Risk assessment Safeguarding Adults (Level 2) Safeguarding Children (Level 2) Supporting behaviour change This education will be an All Wales agreement and will be delivered via Synchronous Learning.

6 All Wales, delivered Face-to-Face with Online Elements

The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. For Lot 6 we are seeking to procure the following education: Module 1: Adult Learning, Roles, and Responsibilities Module 2: Delivering Effective Tutorials Module 3: Assessment and Feedback Module 4: Relationships, Challenges and Conflict This education will be an All Wales agreement and will be delivered Face-to-Face with Online Elements.

Please note: no further Notices will be issued for each refresh date when the Framework reopens. -12-month refreshes to allow new entrants to apply to join the framework and existing providers the opportunity to add new topics/modules. Refresh Dates: - 1st August 2024, [responses by 26th June 2024] - 1st August 2025, [responses by 26th June 2025] - 1st August 2026, [responses by 26th June 2026] * *In the event the Framework Agreement is extended The Services to which this Notice relates fall within Regulations 74 to 76 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Regulations). Although HEIW may voluntarily adopt certain provisions in the Regulations neither the employment of any terminology nor any other indication shall be taken to mean that the contracting authority intends to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations save those applicable to services falling within Regulations 74 to 76. Bidders to note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the tender documents and that save for matters of clarification or consistency, HEIW will not negotiate the terms. As this is a procurement that falls under the Light Touch Regime, HEIW is proposing to use a procurement procedure which is akin to the open procedure. All tender costs and any liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders. HEIW reserves the right to pause, halt, abandon and/or annul the tendering process and not to appoint to the Framework Agreement. Bidders to note appointment on to the Framework Agreement does not guarantee the award of further contracts as a result of mini competition participation. The Framework to which this procurement relates is funded via Welsh Government funding, refer to the contract terms and conditions and the ITT for rights reserved to the contracting authority should the said funding cease or reduce.
