Legal Justification
Scottish Water (SW) intends to award a Framework Agreement for the Supply and Delivery of Amazon Cartridge Filters, parts and ancillary equipment to Barr & Wray Ltd for a period of 15 years (approximate value of £130,000 per annum). Barr & Wray Ltd are the sole Scottish distributor for Amazon Filters Ltd and thereby the sole supplier of the products being purchased. By awarding this framework agreement this will enable SW to continue to purchase DWI compliant filter cartridges for use in its water treatment works. The goods can only be provided by the selected tenderer due to the exclusive rights of supply that is held by them.
