Description

Norfolk County Council have been successful in their application to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs ("DEFRA") for a grant that will be used to give small businesses access to e-cargo bikes in the city centre of Norwich. Norfolk County Council are looking to appoint an organisation to operate an e-cargo bike library in the Air Quality Management Area.

Total Quantity or Scope

Norwich City Council declared an Air Quality Management Area ("AQMA") Norwich city centre in 2012, where air pollution is a significant issue due to the annual average nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels exceeding the recognised thresholds. Norfolk County Council is seeking an operator for an e-cargo bike library to be used by businesses and organisations operating primarily in the Norwich AQMA. The Scheme will comprise of a minimum of ten e-cargo bikes to be loaned on a short-term basis to users operating within the Norwich AQMA. Additional information: The dates provided in II.2.7 indicate the initial contract length. If additional funding is made available and subject to agreement by both parties, at the end of the initial contract length the Contract may be extended. The length of any extension(s) will be dictated by the amount of additional funding received but shall not exceed five years in total.
