Description
A contract for the provision of satellite telemetry equipment for a number of investigative research projects including improving eel protection and passage.
Total Quantity or Scope
Defra intends to award a contract for the provision of satellite telemetry equipment which will be used for tracking of vulnerable aquatic species. The equipment must be of a minimum specification so that it can operate autonomously, collect continuous time-stamped data, is small enough to be attached to eels and can work at the required depths / temperatures. The contract is planned to start 01/01/2024 for a 3 year duration. The contract may be extended for an additional 2 years. The value covers the full 5 year contract length.Defra intendeds to directly award the contract and this notice is published for reasons of transparency.
