Description

The Chemistry department is engaged in a broad range of synthetic chemistry and materials chemistry that either currently makes use of or could in future make use of single-crystal X-ray diffraction for crystal structure determination and seeks to upgrade current X-ray diffraction capabilities. Compounds studied include organic compounds, coordination compounds, including metal-organic frameworks, and organometallic compounds. All instrument configurations should be suitable to house existing Oxford Cryostream 700 series cryostats (to be provided by University of Sheffield).
