Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer Rate of Pay: TBC Hours: 37 hours pw Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. Start Date: TBC Contract type: Agency Brief description: The role focuses on enhancing the quality, effectiveness, and family-centred approach to Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The primary goal is to improve the personalisation and quality of EHCPs, ensuring they better serve children with SEND and their families, while complying with legal and statutory requirements. The role involves driving improvements in EHCP processes, fostering collaboration across multiple agencies, and ensuring continuous development and compliance within the SEND framework. Key Responsibilities: 1. Improving EHCP Quality and Consistency: 2. Training and Development: 3. Quality Assurance and Auditing: 4. Multi-Agency Collaboration: 5. Communication and Feedback: 6. Other Duties: Key Focus Areas: o Improving the personalisation and quality of EHCPs to ensure better outcomes for children with SEND and their families. o Enhancing the skills and capabilities of team members through targeted training and support. o Driving effective quality assurance processes through regular audits and feedback loops. o Fostering strong collaboration across education, health, and social care partners. o Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and guidelines while embedding best practices in all aspects of EHCP development and review.
