Description

Sexual health is an important part of public health. Most of the adult population are sexually active and the levels of sexually transmitted infections are rising nationally. Therefore, it is important that those at risk are able to access sophisticated sexual health services that are able to meet the needs of the population and maximise the health and wellbeing of those who use them. Haringey Council has commissioned a young people sexual health service and LARC services for women to access. The Provider will deliver a range of accessible, high-quality, responsive, cost-effective, and confidential services to Haringey residents, and shall collaborate and support the delivery of sexual health services in primary care and other community settings, in partnership with Haringey Council.

This Notice is an Intention to award a contract under Direct Award Process C The Council intends to award a new for Community Sexual Health Services - Young People Sexual Health and Long Acting Reversible Contraception. The new contract is to be awarded to the existing provider Central North west London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL), for a period of 3 years, with an option to extend for a further period of 1.5 years The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £4,500,000

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight on 22nd October 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. Please contact Mercy.Nzioka@haringey.gov.uk, with any written representations. This decision has been made by the Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Wellbeing, in accordance with Haringey Council's governance processes, on 26th September 2024. No conflicts of interest were identified. The existing provider's performance has been assessed taking into account established key criteria. Varied weighting was applied to reflect the relative importance of each criterion. 2 of the 5 key criteria were balanced with equal priority of 30% and considered on this basis. A weighting of 20% was applied to another criterion and 10% was applied to each of the remaining 2 criterion including social value. The Council is satisfied with the existing provider's performance and is of the view that the provider will be able to satisfy the new contract to a sufficient standard.
