Description

This tender is to source a third-party contractor that can provide a contracted driver training service to military personnel in British Forces Cyprus. The scope of the training to be delivered will be limited to: Cat B; Cat B+E; Cat C; Cat C+E; Cat D1. The successful contractor must be aware that the Authority will reserve the right to add to or remove license categories as needed. The volume of candidates for testing is expected to be c.184 per annum, to be trained across a 46-week year (approx. 4 candidates a week). These are indicative volumes, based on historic data and will be subject to change, dependent on need. Most candidates are expected to be evenly split across license categories B and C, with a small (<10) volume to undergo training for acquisition of a cat D1 license. All authorised driving instructors will be expected to be qualified to DVSA standards and recognised as an authorised driving instructor by the DVSA. All vehicles to be used for tuition and testing will be provided by the MOD. The Contractor will be required to source and employ suitable driving instructors to fulfil this requirement.
