Children’s Palliative care is an active and total approach to care embracing physical, emotional and spiritual elements. It focuses on quality of life for the child and support for the family and includes management of distressing symptoms, provision of respite and care through death and bereavement.

Direct Award Process A - Keech Hospice is an existing provider of children's palliative care for HWE ICB and the ICB is satisfied that Keech are capable of providing the future services required. Keech is currently the only local provider with the capacity to provide the range and volume of end-of-life services to the child population of Hertfordshire. Keech have long and well-established links with all the surrounding hospices, community nurse providers and managed clinical networks.
