Description

Cefas require the supplier to provide technical advice under the Hinkley Point C Compensation Measures project. Key areas for technical advice will be as follows: * To provide information on where existing or historic kelp habitats, species or suitable conditions occur and, based on this, provide some recommendations of potential zones where habitats and species could establish or re-establish. * Consider potential siting within these zones for each habitat or species based on any known pressures, pros and cons for habitat connectivity, such as fewer larger sites or more smaller sites, and begin to consider the logistics of sourcing those species and habitats. * Identify potential areas using habitat preference criteria to help identify the location of sites. * Provide expert advice on restoration methods. * Provide literature and conduct literature reviews. * Contribution to technical outputs. This could be in the form of contribution to reports, checking reports prior to submission or quality assurance of data obtained by Cefas or third-party subcontractors
