Other Information
** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This is an Urgent Award due to severe capacity issues in the service resulting from two consultant vacancies that the Trust has been unable to fill and an unexpected retirement. Efforts to find temporary staff to fill these gaps have been unsuccessful. These significant capacity shortfalls within the ENT service at HUTH mean there is an urgent need to facilitate additional new outpatient capacity to fall in line with the NHS England directive in relation to elimination of 65 week breaches to address immediate risks to safety and quality of care. The contract award decision was made by the Chief Executive and Interim Chief Financial Officer. No conflicts of interest were identified.
