Description

National Gas is seeking to award a framework agreement covering Legal Services. There will be 3 Lots: Lot 1: Gas Regulation Lot 2: Treasury Lot 3: General Lot

Lot Division

1 GAS REGULATION (Specialist Lot)

National Gas Transmission (NGT) invited interest from suitable Economic Operators to pre-qualify and tender for the provision of Legal Services. The procurement seeks to establish a Legal Services Framework covering the 3 areas: 1) Gas Regulation 2) Treasury 3) General Legal Services. The procurement consisted of a pre-qualification of Applicants, shortlisting those to be invited to tender and then a competitive tender of those shortlisted. The scope of Lot 1, Gas Regulation includes Legal Services relating to: RIIO-3 Regulatory Framework, Regulation of Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide, Operational Regulation, Gas Industry Codes, Gas Commercial, Gas Interconnectors, Regulatory Issues and Metering Regulation.
2 TREASURY (Specialist Lot)

National Gas Transmission (NGT) invited interest from suitable Economic Operators to pre-qualify and tender for the provision of Legal Services. The procurement seeks to establish a Legal Services Framework covering the 3 areas: 1) Gas Regulation 2) Treasury 3) General Legal Services. The procurement consisted of a pre-qualification of applicants, shortlisting those to be invited to tender and then a competitive tender of those shortlisted. The scope of Lot 2, Treasury includes Legal Services relating to: Advising on the new hydrogen and carbon transmission markets and associated capital and operational investments. Coupled with advice on the ongoing investment in methane transmission resiliency and traditional gas metering.
3 General Legal Services

The procurement seeks to establish a Legal Services Framework covering the 3 areas: 1) Gas Regulation 2) Treasury 3) General Legal Services. The scope of Lot 2, General Legal Services, includes: Competition Law, Property & Planning, IT & Commercial & Procurement Law, Disputes, Intellectual Property, Trademark and Patent Services, Construction, Corporate, Health, Safety & Environment, Employment, Pensions, Insurance, Data Protection and Cyber Security
