Description
The Combined Authority is seeking potential providers who will build on local local insight and knowledge, to create a project proposal(s) that: • Aligns with the long-term strategic plans for local growth. • Targets people most in need, supports community engagement and builds capacity. • Focuses on individuals who find it difficult to engage with mainstream provision, for example, (but not exclusively), individuals who have not achieved success in mainstream educational settings, those who may not be aware of the skills they possess.
Lot Division
1 | First Steps in Engagement and Numeracy Through the Combined Authority, this Bradford Cold Spot Responsiveness requests innovative provision that is effective in supporting those furthest away from the labour market and may not engage in traditional mainstream learning. The funding supports people most disengaged and vulnerable in the identified Bradford wards (see Geographical location) and who may have particular barriers to engagement and learning, the delivery should respond to local need and emerging priorities. |
2 | Numeracy Skills to Support Primary School Children Through the Combined Authority, the Bradford Cold Spot Responsiveness requests provision that provides support for parents or legal guardians of primary school age children by delivering short intensive courses enabling them to support their children with maths. In particular the offer should focus on: • Developing and delivering creative activity at a hyper local/community level • How maths is taught in primary schools to enable understanding of the current ways of teaching in order to support their children with homework and maths attainment. • How maths applies to everyday life and how parents can embed maths into everyday life, tasks and games to support their children’s understanding of maths and removal of barriers. |
