The service is a staffed, mobile 3T MRI Scanner on site at RNOH Stamore. The unit will be on site for a total of 19 days while urgent works take place. This notice is a confirmation that an award has been made due to an urgent circumstance. The amount payable under the contract is estimated to be £49,305.The contract runs from 21st January 2025 to 11th February 2025. The scanner will be used every day ni this period excluding Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2025.

This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.Justification for award under an urgent circumstance: Existing Mobile 3T MRI scanner removed for urgent repairs at short notice. This resulted in loss of a third of MRI capacity directly impacting patient pathways in regards to diagnosis and treatment. There are no other mobile 3Ts available in the country, and there was an urgent need for top of the range brand new 1.5T scanner that could utilise Deep Resolve software to increase imaging out puts to almost 3T level. 3T imaging is vital to MSK and sarcoma patients diagnosis and outcomes.No conflicts of interest were noted.
