Description

Safe Zone is a free, on-the-night face-to-face mental health crisis support service for 11–17 year-olds. The purpose of the service is to enhance the support currently available to the children and young people of Leeds who are experiencing a (self-defined) crisis. The service is staffed by experienced workers who can offer around 45 minutes of emotional support and help with signposting to other support services.

The Contract Authority; NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board intends to award a contract to an existing provider following Direct Award Process C. The authority is publishing this notice in Find a Tender in accordance with the NHS Provider Selection Regime. The service is a free, face-to-face mental health crisis support service for 11–17 year-olds in Leeds. The purpose of the service is to enhance the support currently available to the children and young people of Leeds who are experiencing a (self-defined) crisis. Total Value - £305,841 Contract Term – 1st April 2025 – 31st March 2027 with option to extend for 1 year until 31st March 2028

Legal Justification

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the Standstill Period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by Monday 3rd March 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the PSR.
