Description

This tender presents an opportunity for Security Services and Servicing, Testing and Inspection of Alarms and Suppression Systems, encompassing various lots.

Lot Division

1 Security Services - East

Somerset Council are interested in procuring a contract for the provision of security services (Static Guarding, Key Holding, Mobile Patrol, Locking and Unlocking, SIA Security) for the Corporate Estate across the entire Authority. There appears to be a significant opportunity to procure improved services for the Corporate estate in Somerset that will – in most cases – save money. At present Somerset Council has an ad hoc site by site agreement with numerous contractors to meet its current requirements. The sites vary greatly in size, with our largest building being County Hall in Taunton, and the geographical areas also differ significantly. Covering a wide expanse, this geographical region includes the central area of Taunton, the rugged coastline of Minehead, and the rural outskirts of Frome, among other areas more remote such as Exmoor. There is a variation in the level of security cover required at each site, with some sites demanding a greater level of security than others.
