Description

The service will provide assessment and early emotional trauma informed support to the young person and their ‘safe’ parents / carers. The existing provider will also offer a service for children and young people where there is a concern about the likelihood, or possibility of sexual abuse, which will include advice to determine the appropriate response pathway.

Total Quantity or Scope

- the service provision is for emotional support for non-acute child sexual abuse; - there is a requirement to develop a new contract to replace existing contract for the ongoing provision of this services (the proposed contracting arrangements are not changing considerably from the existing contract);- the relevant authority intend to award a contract to the existing provider following Direct Award Process C- the lifetime value of the contract is £392,000 excluding VAT; and- the services are intended to be provided with effect from 01 April 2025 for 12 months, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, up to 31 March 2027.

The rationale for the relative importance of the Key Criteria is to ensure service continuity will be maintained for this group of patients. The rationale for choosing theprovider is that there is confidence that the provider is likely to satisfy future performance against the new contract at a cost effective price against the Key Criteria; and- There are no declared or potential conflicts of interest of individuals making the decision.
