Description
Provision of network data cabling services for a period of three years. Services shall include the design, installation and commissioning of Met Office cabling infrastructure as part of any incident, change or problem process.
Award Criteria
Bidder Capacity - Planned Works | Bidder provides effective evidence that it is able to meet the requirement for additional resources for planned works and is able to meet the specified service levels. |
Bidder Capacity - Unplanned Works / Incidents | Bidder provides effective evidence that it is able to meet the requirement for additional resources for unplanned works and to respond to incidents and is able to meet the specified service level. |
Health & Safety | Bidder provides effective evidence that it is able to meet the specified H&S requirements to ensure resources are fully qualified, appropriately certified and trained (e.g. CSCS card holders, IPAF or PASMA certified) and the Bidder is able to provide method statements and risk assessments for the service. |
Process Improvement | Bidder effectively demonstrates a commitment to improving processes and procedures in order to meet customer and regulatory requirement during the term of the contract ie. via achieving ISO9001 certification, or equivalent. |
Change and Infrastructure Management | Bidder provides effective evidence that they utilise Change Management (eg. ServiceNow) and Infrastructure Management (eg. Patch Manager, iTracs, NLite) processes and tools. Bidder has provided examples of processes and tools used. |
Transition Plans | Bidder has provided an effective proposal / plan on how it would transition from the existing service provider to the Bidder and that includes the following elements: 1. Schedule of stages undertaken 2. Key Individuals (i.e., project manager) 3. Timescales (Gantt chart/critical path analysis) 4. Communication 5. Knowledge transfer 6. Stakeholder management/engagement |
Testing | Bidder has provided effective details of the copper and fibre test equipment that it proposes to use and any software required to access the test results. Details include whether the testing equipment owned or leased and what calibrations and certifications are carried on the testing equipment. |
Accreditations / Standards | Bidder has provided effective evidence of: 1. relevant industry accreditations and suitable certification and approval to work on Leviton cabling as per the SoR, or will have those certifications/approvals within 2 months of commencing the contract; 2. employee qualifications to demonstrate resources are skilled in undertaking required work on copper and fibre cabling technologies; and 3. capability to deliver in accordance with JSP 453 (previously known as JSP 604 Leaflet 4800) standards or equivalent. |
Resourcing - Clearances/Staff Retention | Bidder has confirmed SC clearance levels for all resources that will work on the contract and has provided effective evidence of any staff policies and plans relating to staff retention, with appropriate examples, that are in place to foster a work environment where employees feel valued and motivated and that reduce employee turnover, prevent attrition, and foster employee engagement. |
Social Value - Effective stewardship of the environment including working towards net zero | Bidder effectively describes approach to fighting climate change and delivering additional environmental benefits in the performance of the contract including working towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions and is able to meet the associated reporting requirements. |
Social Value - Create employment and training opportunities particularly for those who face barriers to employment. | Bidder effectively describes approaches taken or propose to take in connection with this contract to tackling economic inequality and create employment and training opportunities particularly for those who face barriers to employment and/or are located in deprived areas, and for people in industries with known skills shortages or in high growth sectors and is able to meet the associated reporting requirements. |
