Description
The service provides high quality palliative end of life care in an in-patient bedded facility in Bassetlaw that is not an acute setting; for all patients with end of life care needs, regardless of diagnosis, who require step up/step down care from an acute setting, respite care due to carer fatigue or terminal care. Provide a Clinical Specialist Nurse workforce to support community palliative and EoL care provision in the Bassetlaw community.
Total Quantity or Scope
The service provides high quality palliative end of life care in an in-patient bedded facility in Bassetlaw that is not an acute setting; for all patients with end of life care needs, regardless of diagnosis, who require step up/step down care from an acute setting, respite care due to carer fatigue or terminal care. Provide a Clinical Specialist Nurse workforce to support community palliative and EoL care provision in the Bassetlaw community. The ICB are intending to award a contract under the most suitable provider process. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is 3.9 million. This is an new service with a new provider; The dates between which the services are intended to be provided are 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2028.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 16 April 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
