The School of Chemistry requires two modern single-crystal X-ray diffractometers to collect high quality diffraction data from a wide variety of crystalline samples, with the flexibility to upgrade the instruments in future. To be considered, one of these must have a Mo K micro-focus sealed tube X-ray source, the other a Cu K micro-focus sealed tube X-ray source.
