Description
Leaving Care Psychotherapy Service (Suicide Prevention) / • Proposal to continue the Islington Psychotherapy Support for Care Leavers including Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Young People post.• Established in Islington in 2021 as a pilot led by local VCS partner, The Brandon Centre, the post provides additional support to care leavers aged 18-25 years old both directly or indirectly, through consultation and training.• The aim of this post holder is to support 12-15 young people per year within Islington. As part of the offer, young people receive 16-20 sessions of integrative psychotherapy, which is goal-based and tailored to individual needs.• Goals can be a mix of practical/behavioural (start exercising), relational (improve my relationships / reduce arguments), or more emotion-related (improve my mood / reduce my anxiety) goals.• To date the pilot has demonstrated a reduction in depression and anxiety scores for services users.• The funding would continue the 1.0 WTE post which is split across Haringey, Camden and Islington. The post sits with Islington for 1.5 days a week.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 25 April 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

The provider has been selected based on the combined scores which confirms the providers ability to continue to fulfil the contract in line with PSR - Direct Award Process C.
