Description

Provision of manned guarding at multiple sites and roving security patrols across the Tyne and Wear light rail Metro System, to deter, detect, and respond effectively to threats affecting the safety and security of Nexus and its customers. Bidders must be members of the R/CAS (Rail and Community Safety Accreditation Scheme) accreditation and ability to provide training and administration to operatives. The contract will be expected to commence on 1st of September 2025 for an initial 3 years period with the option to extend for further 2 x 12 months.

Renewal Options

The term of this Contract is for an initial period of 3 years, Nexus shall have the discretionary option of extending the term for a further period of 12 months on 2 occasions, the total maximum permissible term is 5 years.
