Description
The NMRN are seeking to appoint a contractor to undertake caulking works to the upper deck of HMS Trincomalee in specific areas. The NMRN has already undertaken caulking work with our own dedicated shipwrights team, however, there is a requirement to appoint a contractor to undertake further caulking work to support them.

HMS Trincomalee is a 19th Century Leda class frigate which was built in India and is now berthed afloat in Hartlepool dock and is on the National Historic Ships register. It is constructed entirely from Indian teak apart from the deck, which was laid in opepe in the mid-1990s, and has been caulked using traditional oakum and pitch. The ITT document sets out in Annex A the scope of requirement for this tender opportunity and the area of the work it pertains. There are additional documents which must be requested by registering your interest via tenders@nmrn.org.uk. Site visits are available, however must be booked within the clarification period and within 3-5 working days to book with the team at NMRN Hartlepool.
