Description
Sheffield Hallam University carried out a further competition under the SUPC Framework (Servers, Storage and Solutions National Agreement (SSSNA). Following a full evaluation of all tenders received, MTI Technology Ltd were selected as the successful supplier.
Total Quantity or Scope
In recent years the University has moved increasingly to cloud-based services, migrating data center workloads to Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) public cloud services and a gradual transition of user data and workflow to Office 365 leading to a reduction in data stored on campus. As a result of this change the University's requires a robust platform that uses built-in protection services, providing the required level of data protection. The University is therefore procuring a solution to ensure robust data protection in cloud services at the same or similar level of protection as the University offers on-campus and to ensure that our on-campus backup systems are right-sized for the changed approach to services.
