Description

Cheshire East Council is inviting experienced contractors to tender for the delivery of planting and ongoing maintenance for two newly designated woodland areas within the borough. The opportunity is divided into two separate lots: LOT 1 - Buttertons LOT 2 - Bathertons The scope of work includes site preparation, supply and planting of trees, and comprehensive maintenance to ensure the successful establishment and sustainability of the woodlands.

Lot 1 Buttertons: a 34-hectare former agricultural site at Haslington, Crewe.

2 Bathertons
  • Value: £420K

Lot 2 Bathertons: a 38-hectare former agricultural site in Nantwich.

Optional site visits will be held on the 3rd June 2025 for LOT 2 Bathertons and on the 5th June for LOT 1 Buttertons – Organisations who wish to participate in site visits must register their interest by sending a message to request an appointment via The Chest e-tendering portal (www.the-chest.org.uk, project ID DN772950). The Council will then respond to confirm availability and timings. The time limit for registering for the site visits is 12 noon on 30th May 2025. Please note that, if you opt to participate in site visits, then you will be required to bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes boots and hi-vis clothing/vests. The contracts will be awarded for an initial term of 48 months, with the possibility of a 12-month extension.
