Description

EAST Summer School is a free interactive summer holiday programme for young people aged between 12 – 17 living, studying, or working in the four host boroughs of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Since 2018, EAST Summer School been engaging with a wide range of young people with all types of social, educational, and emotional needs as we thrive to provide a safe service for young people who want to explore different creative industries in a stimulating environment. Supported by world-leading East Bank partners and other stakeholders who collaborate within the community will be delivering free accessible workshops from Monday 28th July until 8th August for two specific age groups. The younger age group will be between 12 – 14-year-olds and the older age group will be for 15 – 17-year-olds. Partitioning the target audience in this way enables delivery partners to formulate courses towards their academic needs rather than personal abilities for enhanced engagement. We seek to reassure all students who enter our programme can benefit from connecting with new people, develop skills and discover new passion A delivery provider to ensure the safety and care of young people aged between 12 – 17 needs and expectations are met while participating in workshops taking place on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The supplier will be responsible for maintaining consistently high standards, throughout the programme, ensuring that young people receive the sport and access to help they need during summer school. This includes: • Support the delivery of East Summer School from an engagement and behavioural lens. • Monitor behavioural interplay to ensure all attendees requires are met and to promote an environment that encourages, leaning and personal development. • Assisting the learning environment to assure participants can access extra support where required. • Provide training and induction for all youth workers before programme commencement. • Coincide working with LLDC safeguarding and child protection policy.
