Description

The provision of Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to deliver care and support for referred patients with terminal illness. The service delivers one-to-one Specialist Palliative Care to patients in their normal place of residence. The service is provided for those in whom diagnosis has shown that the advent of death is likely and not too distant and for whom treatment includes a large element of palliation or has been identified as being in the last days of life. The service is delivered 365 days per year, for night care. Night visits are 9 hours long and delivered between the hours of 2200 and 0700. This Service is for the Tameside Locality within NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (NHS GM ICB). This contract will be for 12-months from 1st April 2025 - 31st March 2026. The total value of this contract will be £49,946 plus Nationally mandated tariff uplift. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C intention to award notice, this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

Total Quantity or Scope

The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of The Procurement Act 2023 Regulations do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by midnight on 11th July 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
