Description
The Scottish Ministers invites tenders for the supply of spare parts for steering gear of the vessel, MPV Jura.
Total Quantity or Scope
The vessels steering gear is classified as a critical safety system. As part of routine 5-yearly maintenance and statutory survey requirements, a range of compatible and approved spare parts must be procured and installed to ensure ongoing safety, compliance, and reliability. The spares require are for a Rolls-royce Tenfjord steering gear or equivalent. Rolls-royce was acquired by Kongsberg in 2019. As of 2025 the Tenfjord steering gear units are supported by Neuver Marine, who acquired the steering gear and rudder operations from Kongsberg.
