Description
It is Sheffield City Councils intention to to direct award the 2025 - 2029 histology contract to the incumbent provider of the service (South Yorkshire Bassetlaw Pathology). The award will be made under the Provider Selection Regime regulations, with the Direct Award Process C being used. This notice serves as the Council's 30 day notice period. For the avoidance of doubt neither the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or the Procurement Act 2023 are not applicable to this award.
Total Quantity or Scope
The approximate vale of the contract over the 4 year period is £400,000 excluding VAT. The contract is expected to run from August 2025 until August 2029.

his is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 18 August 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
