Description

The framework agreement was established for a period of 4 years with the option to extend (at the sole discretion of NIE Networks) for up to 3 further 12-month periods (7 years in total). The Temporary Traffic Management service will facilitate NIE Networks’ internal work requirements associated with: — provision of new customer connections, asset installation/replacement/upgrade works, fault and emergency response. These services will include: — pre-site planning, design and production of traffic management plans, setting up of traffic management arrangements, on site management of such arrangements and removal of same upon completion of the works, signing, lighting and guarding in accordance with Chapter 8 of the traffic signs manual including the provision of traffic controls and lane/road closures, full end to end management of street works in accordance with legislative requirements.

Legal Justification

NIE Networks Electricity Ltd is extending the framework agreement for a further 12 months beyond the extension period due to extended work programme requirements, beyond that was expected at the time of the published Contract Award Notice. NIE Networks Electricity Ltd have now commenced a renewal procurement process.
