Description
Newcastle City Council (NCC) are using the NEPO407 Framework Lot 1 for Frozen Food after the departure of Hopwells July 25. This Framework has been established for the provision of frozen food to Contracting Authorities in the North East only.
Total Quantity or Scope
Frozen food for Schools and Welfare Centres after the departure of Hopwells. NEPO carried out the project to enable a new supplier to be awarded onto their framework. It is now called Frozen Food Lot 1 on NEPO407 Framework.

The Process of award was via NEPO Framework.
Other Information
The Framework provides North East Contracting Authorities access to suppliers capable of meeting their requirements for the delivery of frozen food to education establishments, including primary and secondary schools, alongside Council owned and operated sites. Suppliers awarded to the Framework are able to provide concurrent deliveries across the North East, aligned to the delivery schedules of Contracting Authorities, including the specified days, restricted delivery windows and site entry requirements. The Framework has enabled NCC to provide their service users with the specialised supply of frozen food and to ensure that the essential allergen requirements are adhered to, school food standards compliance is maintained and individual dietary needs are met inclusively.
