Description

The Environment Agency is responsible for creating a better place for people and wildlife and support sustainable development. EA is an executive non-departmental body, sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. For further information please visit (Environment Agency - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) The project is funded through the Joint Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Research Programme to support strategy delivery. It aims to identify and generate pragmatic, robust and proportionate economic methods for determining economic benefits for flood and coastal resilience and adaptation actions. The research will work closely with the Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes to identify, develop and test methods. The research will help to enable uptake of a broad range of actions beyond traditional flood and coastal defences and to justify planned and future investments in flood and coastal risk management.
