Description

Fife Council requires to appoint a Contractor capable of meeting the needs of the Council in relation to the cleaning and sanitising of bin chutes, bins and associated storage areas at various locations throughout Fife. This will include the clearing of blockages within the bin chutes.On a 6 monthly basis the Service Provider will be responsible for maintaining to the standard BS9999 and testing the fire safety (Damper/Plates) of each bin chute, they require to be fully qualified and have a complete understanding of all the safety features included in the installation. Technicians should be able to carry out controlled smoke tests, fire closure plate tests and servicing. This will involve: Perform Smoke Seal Testing, Seal Replacement, Damper/Plate Repair or replacement, Hopper Repairs, Hopper Replacement, servicing parts required for functioning. Fife Council require Inspection Reports detailing any deficiencies and recommendations for corrective actions and to provide a compliant Fire Certification on completion. Replacement Components where required will be fitted with a rating as guided to comply with BS476 part 20/22 transitioning to BS EN1634-1. associated storage areas at various locations throughout Fife.

2 Servicing, Fire Certification & Maintenance

Renewal Options

24-Months Fife Council may require additional purchases under this contract which have not been specifically detailed in the "specification" however any additional purchases will be in full accordance with the requirements of Regulation 72 of the Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
