Description of the services to be provided: The service provides patients that have been subject to an immediate removal from a GP's patient list on the grounds of violence or threatening behaviour, continued access to essential, additional and enhanced primary medical services within a secure environment. This notice is an intention to award a contract under the most suitable provider process The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £717,500 This is a new service with an existing provider. The dates between which the services are intended to be provided are 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2030.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 8 September 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

Written representations should be sent to nnicb-nn.psrsupport@nhs.net The decision was made by the Primary Medical Services Contracting Panel in line with the ICB's Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. There were no declared conflicts or potential conflicts of interest. The relative importance of the key criteria was weighted as Quality and Innovation 15%, Value 15%, Integration, collaboration and service sustainability 40%, Improving access, reducing health inequalities, and facilitating choice 15% and Social Value 15%. Integration, collaboration and service sustainability was weighted at 40% as the service must be integrated within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. NEMS Community Benefit Services is fully integrated within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System and has robust relationships with Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB, Primary and Secondary Care, Community services and the Mental Health Trust ensuring pathways are integrated and robust information sharing.
