Description

Birmingham City Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint an organisation for the provision of Highways Infrastructure Works on Kings Heath and Moseley Places for People, Packages 1&2. The scope of the works includes: a. 7 modal filters in the form of islands and fixed bollards with associated signage at: Oxford Road, St Agnes Road, Ashfield Road, Melton Road, Barn Lane, Portman Road and Mossfield Road. b. 6 diagonal modal filters in the form of fixed bollards with associated signage at: Station Road/York Road, Grage Road/York Road, Grange Road/Highbury Road, School Road/Greenhill Road, Valentine Road/Poplar Road/Springfield Road/Cambridge Road/School Road and Melton Road/Springfield Road. c. One-way streets or sections with contra-flow cycling at: Station Road, Grange Road, Westfield Road, Highbury Road, York Road, Waterloo Road, All Saints Road, Goldsmith Road, Melton Road, Gaddesby Road, Springfield Road, Institute Road, Heathfield Rd, Woodville Road, Poplar Road and Valentine Road. d. Traffic calming in the form of islands and/or speed humps along Gaddesby Road, Clarence Road and Billesley Lane. e. 7 new uncontrolled pedestrian crossings at: Valentine Road/Poplar Road/Cambridge Road/School Road arms of the roundabout junction, Gaddesby Road and Springfield Road’s arms of the roundabout at Institute Road junction and Highbury Road near Silver Street junction. f. A new Zebra crossing on Billesley Lane near Westlands Road.
