Description
This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice is to indicate that the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) proposes to extend the contract for the UK Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (UKNIAF) operating in Nigeria by 5.5 months from its current proposed end date of 13th October 2025 up to 31st March 2026. This contract is being extended, without re-procurement, because doing so does not constitute a “substantial” modification. There is no change in the financial value of the contract. The anticipated expenditure in the period between October 13th 2025 and 31st March 2026 will be up to £1m, which has been baked into the existing contract value. A UKNIAF extension would enable 5.5 months of additional delivery to produce additional outputs/deliverables that continue existing activities primarily in the power sector, while continuing to grow private participation and commercial opportunities in electricity infrastructure.
