This is a modification notice for the provision of Intermediate Minor Oral Surgery and Conscious Sedation for Oasis in Northampton to extend the contract to 30th November 2025. This is the only modification, no changes have been made to the the terms and conditions.The specialty of Oral Surgery (OS) deals with the diagnosis and management of pathology of the mouth and jaws that requires surgical intervention. Oral Surgery involves the treatment of children, adolescents and adults, and the management of dentally anxious and/or medically complex patients. Oral Surgery care is provided by Oral Surgeons and by Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons as the clinical competencies of these two specialties overlap.The service is known/commissioned as Intermediate Minor Oral Surgery (IMOS) including treatment under Conscious Sedation and is aimed at those patients who require Level 2 care – that is ‘procedural and/or patient complexity requiring a clinician with enhanced skills and experience who may or may not be on the specialist register.

Regulation 13 (1) (d)The modification is made at the discretion of the relevant authority and the modification does not render the contract or framework agreement materially different in character and:• The cumulative change in the lifetime value of the contract or framework agreement, compared to its value when it was entered into, is under 25%It is recognised that historic data is not available due to predecessor organisations no longer in existence and pragmatic approach undertaken to determine contract modification thresholds adopting actual payments made in 2024/25, which calculates an estimated 12 month contract value as unable to predict actual payments due to patient demand led service.There is need for this service to continue while a Competitive Process takes place (https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/032672-2025).

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified.This modification is made at the discretion of the relevant authority and the modification does not render the contract or framework agreement materially different in character and The cumulative change in the lifetime value of the contract or framework agreement, compared to its value when it was entered into, is under 25%, under Regulation 13.1.d.This contract has been extended until 30th November 2025 following an abandoned procurement to allow the Commissioner time to conduct a Competitive Process.The decision makers were: East Midlands Joint Commissioning Committee.No conflicts of interest were identified in this process.
