Description

The service provides a level of community-based direct access non-obstetric ultrasound (NOUS) activity outside of the Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC), as part of an integrated, single NOUS pathway, alongside the CDC. The aims of the service is to aid early diagnostics to be undertaken closer to home; improve access to diagnostic testing; and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care.

The service provides a level of community-based direct access non-obstetric ultrasound (NOUS) activity outside of the Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC), as part of an integrated, single NOUS pathway, alongside the CDC. The aims of the service is to aid early diagnostics to be undertaken closer to home; improve access to diagnostic testing; and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care. NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB is intending to award a contract an existing provider following direct award process C of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Approximate lifetime value of the contract is £15,000 Contract term - 06/10/2025 - 31/03/2026

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 23:59hrs 3 October 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded. This notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

The contract award was approved by the Chief Operating Officer (Acting) and the Deputy Director of Finance and Investment. No conflicts of interest have been declared in relation to the contract award.
