Description of the services to be provided: Community based ophthalmology services. The ICB is intending to award a contract to the existing providers following direct award process C This is an activity based contract. The length of the contract award is six months (1 April 2026 until 30 September 2026) to allow time to complete a competitive procurement process and service mobilisation.

For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 14 October 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

Written representations should be sent to nnicb-nn.psrsupport@nhs.net The decision was made by the Strategic Planning and Integration Committee in line with the ICB's Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. There were no declared conflicts or potential conflicts of interest. The relative importance of the key criteria was weighted as equal. The contracting arrangements are not changing considerably and the existing provider are performing the contract to a sufficient standard taking into account the key criteria
